 TGIF Washington Attendance Area (WAA) is part of  Talented and Gifted in Fremont (TGIF) Satellite School Site program. Only GATE certified students in Fremont from Washington Attendance Area are eligible for this program. TGIF membership is required to participation in this program. This program is organized and offered by parents volunteers, so parent volunteering is highly encouraged.
Mission Statement
The purpose of TGIF Washington Attendance Area (WAA) is to promote the interests of gifted and talented students in Washington Attendance Area and the Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) by encouraging the fullest development of their potential at home and at school and providing encouragement and being a source of information to parents and educators of gifted and talented children in the Fremont, California public schools.


The TGIF WAA shall promote the interests of gifted and talented children through such activities as:
  • sponsoring conferences, workshops and meetings.
  • promoting improved communication between the school district, school and parent.
  • supporting beneficial legislation, frameworks, and policies for gifted children in the public schools.
  • assisting parent groups sponsor special events or programs in their schools for gifted and talented children.
  • sponsoring fund-raisers to support the above activities.

** Note: TGIF WAA Satellite School Site program is just launched. So initially we will start with programs tailored for elementary school kids. Programs for Middle/High school kids will be added later. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
